Recreation Committee
Minutes- October 8, 2009
Norma Padilla-Riss, liaison, called the meeting to order at 6 p.m.
Present was Ana De Jesus, Jeanne Windbish, Cindy De Pasquale, Ashley Hernandez, Cindy Rametta, Debra Vines, Nancy Timpone, Kerry Doucette, Joe Rametta, Margaret Cooney and Linda Clements.
Chairperson- Linda Clements was appointed chairperson by proclamation.
Secretary- Debra Vines was appointed Secretary by proclamation.
Date & Time of Committee Meetings- Meeting dates for the remainder of 2009: October 22nd, November 5th , November 19th , December 3rd , December 17th. Meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Advertising- Margaret Cooney stated the PR person will work with Ashley Hernandez on branding association events. APCP or APCP logo to be placed on all event advertising.
Future Events- It was noted all events involving food will require a registration deadline. A minimum registrants requirement.to be established for events involving food to minimize event expenses.
· Halloween Party- Registration deadline October 17th. This event will be discussed at the October 22nd meeting.
· Holiday Decorations- The committee will be responsible for decorating the E Club. Decoration to be complete by December 1st and removed after January 6th.
· December Flea Market- date to be determined October 22nd meeting.
2010 Budget- The following proposed events for 2010 were prepared for the purpose of facilitating the preparation of the 2010 Activities budget.
January- Pancake Breakfast, Flea Market
February- Valentine's Dance
March- St. Patrick's Day Dinner
April- Easter Egg Hunt
May- Mother's Day Brunch
June- Father's Day Brunch, Beach Party
July- Pool Party, Field Day
August- Luau
September- Calico Ball, Volunteer Dinner, Harvest Food Drive
October- Pumpkin Carving, Trunk or Treat, Halloween Party
November- Harvest Baskets Delivered
December- Employee Party, Holiday Party, New Year's Party
Note: A Parent/Children Fishing Day to be scheduled to coincide with Fish & Game Commission license free fishing day.
