Minutes- November 13th , 2009

 

Linda Clements called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

 

Present was Ana De Jesus, Cindy Di Pasquale,Cindy Rametta, Debra Vines, Margaret Cooney, Linda Clements, Ellen Cooney and Norma Riss, liaison.

 

Committee Members- Norma Riss advised the committee was in receipt of correspodence from Carollee Kidd regarding her membership on the committee. She was approved by the board as a committee member. Norma Riss stated she e mailed Carollee Kidd the date and time of the first meeting of the committee, which she did not attend. It was the consensus of the committee Linda Clements send Carollee Kidd a letter advising her of openings available on the kitchen and clean-up sub committies if she was still interested in participating.

 

Winter Bingo- Peggy Cooney suggested winter bingo be held on Sunday afternoons following Winter Brunch.

 

Tree Lighting- Light refreshments of beverages and cookies will be served. These items are in current inventory. The maintenance supervisor has a sleigh which will be pulled by a golf cart. He will donate the use of the sleigh for Santa's arrival at the tree lighting. Cindy Rametta will locate lyric sheets for printing to be used at the tree lighting.

 

Holiday Decorations- Committee members will inventory holiday decorations November 15, 2009 at 3 p.m. Following the inventory the committee will determine what decoration should be purchased. Margret Cooney will request Joan Teicher insure the menorah is properly lite. Linda Clements stated she would take the Santa suits to the cleaner on Monday.

 

Event Fliers- Cindy Rametta stated she was not able to have fliers printer in the administration office. She suggested having fliers printed at Staples. It was the consensus of the committee adminisration investigate the cost and set up an account for printing if it is determined to be cost effective. When the fliers are printed Cindy Rametta will insure fliers are in boxes at all gates.

 

New Years Eve Party- There was general discussion regarding children attending the functions. The flier, including a price for under 12, was approved by the committee members via e mail. The committee's emphasis on family oriented functions was noted. It was the consensus of a majority of the committee ( Ana De Jesus, Cindy Di Pasquale,Cindy Rametta, Debra Vines, Linda Clements, and Norma Riss)

the function would remain a family function.

 

November Flea Market- Norma Riss will investigate if there were any tables reserved for the November Flea Market.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
